John’s book, illustrated with paintings, drawings, doodles and cartoons, was inspired during lockdown, by thoughts of happier times in Malawi. Friends gladly supplied their own good humoured anecdotes, memories and observations, adding to the picture of our shared experience of Africa at that time.
